Facials are cosmetic procedures that are used to treat the skin of the face. Facials are designed to act as a deep cleansing therapy, during which a person's skin is treated through massaging, toning, exfoliating, steaming and moisturizing.
Massages involve the application of various physical means through which the soft tissues of the body are manipulated for the purpose of relaxation or healing.
Waxing is a type of treatment through which body hair is removed by the root. A thin layer of hot wax mixture is applied to an area of the body requiring hair removal. A thin cloth or paper section is then applied using pressure atop the wax mixture and removed using a "tearing" motion. This results in the rooting of all body hair in the area in addition to any dead skin cells. Waxing serves as a temporary solution to the problem of hair growth. Typically, it can take three to eight weeks for hair to re-grow after waxing.
Body Treatments are non-medical procedures that exfoliate steam and moisturize your body. Body Treatments include body wraps, aromatherapy, and steam baths.
Skin Exfoliation is a type of non-medical health treatment that is designed to remove dead skin cells from the surface of the face and body. The removal of dead skin cells leaves skin smoother and healthier looking. Micro-bead face scrubs and abrasive cloths are commonly used for exfoliating purposes, while chemical peels offer a more intensive solution to the treatment of dead skin cells. Extreme cases of skin exfoliation may require the implementation of dermabrasion and microdermabrasion, through which the dead skin cells are removed by sanding.
Facials and Facial Treatments
Why get a facial? If your face is too dry or oily, or you're constantly looking for ways to cover up unsightly facial blemishes, a facial may help.
A facial is a deep cleansing treatment applied to the face. Facials are designed to eliminate clogged pores, blackheads, and other impurities affecting the appearance and overall health of the skin. Facial treatments incorporate a variety of grooming steps that can include the use of creams, masks, peels, steam, exfoliation, extraction, lotions, and massage.
Facials were once thought to be a treatment only for women, but now men get facials also. Facials are recommended once every four to six weeks in order to maintain the health and beauty of the skin.
